The NB 890 is the new foam introduced into this shoe and I have to say that it still retains its responsiveness after sustained use. It is almost ten percent lighter than other foams like the Nike lunar foam and it is firm enough for some mild overpronators.  My first impression with this shoe was such that I dumped my other pairs and took it in as my official road runner. Due to its slight weight, it is ideal for speed runs and tempo work while it has enough cushioning to survive the rigors of a long run. It has an extra drop from the jordan heels heel to the toes of about 12mm and this makes it perfect for those runners looking for more ease in transition.
